Medium carmine garnet in colour, with a broad ochre rim. Burgundy-like wild berry jam on the nose, with subtle hints of cranberries, candied grapefruit zest and mint - a multi-faceted bouquet that's very inviting. Juicy, even silky, on the palate, with a floral touch alongside pickled cherries - which shows how finely the variety can mature and that it also gains expressiveness with age. A salty finish shows very good length.
