Powerful nose, still dominated by oak, with aromas of red and dark fruits, red and black cherry, blackberry, and wet leaves. Bold Pinot with lots of drive and traction, and prominent tannins; the well-built body is carried by a powerful acidity. Ripe fruit with spicy oak notes complete the multi-layered picture. Has definite ageing potential.
