The white wine »Septimontium« Königswinter Drachenfels Riesling, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Pieper has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Mittelrhein in Germany.
On the nose, the wine announces its mineral soil with flinty notes. There is also fruit reminiscent of cocktail cherries, as well as peach and yeast. In the mouth, the wine has an animating juiciness, a cultivated acidity and tactile minerality lead into the long finish, supported by a delicate sweetness.
