The red wine Leithaberg DAC rot, vintage 2012 from the winery Weingut Prieler has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Leithaberg in Austria.
Deep ruby, with delicate ochre reflections, and a discreet bright rim. On the nose very nice berry fruit, ripe cherry, discreet hints of vanilla, with a touch of herbs, and a touch of minerality. Juicy, ripe cherry, pleasant sweet fruit, a lemony touch, round and ripe tannins, with fine acidity, a delicate saline underlay on the finish, and a cherry note on the back palate. It will benefit from further bottle ageing.
