The red wine Mephisto, vintage 2009 from the winery Weingut Robert Goldenits has been rated in 2011 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
A dark ruby red, with an opaque core, purple hues. Dark berry confit, elegant oak notes, a hint of cassis and liquorice, fine fresh herbs, mineral nuances. Powerful, tightly meshed, very complex, with well-integrated tannins, chocolatey nuances on the finish, good length, elegant texture, black fruit in the aftertaste, good ageing potential.
