The white wine Liebfrauenstift Kirchenstück Chardonnay, vintage 2014 from the winery Weingut Spohr has been rated in 2016 by Rainer Schäfer with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Christian Spohr is the only winegrower who cultivates Chardonnay in the Kirchenstück. It also displays the aromas typical of this vineyard: ripe, exotic fruit, papaya, pineapple and peach. Creamy and full on the palate, medium extract, not too sweet and quite lively acidity for a Chardonnay, spicy hints. Balanced, harmoniously balanced with good length.
