The red wine Merlot Reserve, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Wilhelm Thell has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. On the nose there is a lovely fine oak note, with a Mon Chéri touch, fresh amarena cherry, and nuances of blackberry confit. It is juicy, with a lovely fruit sweetness, ripe cherry, it is elegant and persistent, and has a subtle nougat flavour on the back palate. It is a versatile food wine.
