The red wine Spay In der Zech Spätburgunder Rotwein trocken, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Weingart has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Mittelrhein in Germany.
On the nose, aromas of juniper, and pine cones as well as raspberry. Still youthfully introverted with a subtle woody note, but indicating the potential for great spiciness. The palate has a lot of juiciness and an elegant flow, ripe tannins in rather cautious quantities, a mineral base, almost magical in its clarity and unforced balance, a fine food wine, with a terroir tone and yet unobtrusive.
