It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There are aromas of nicely spicy black berry confit, dark cherry, nuances of tobacco, and some minerality. On the palate it is powerful, with ripe plum, sweet fruit, ripe tannins, good freshness, elegance, and a nice persistence. It is a full-bodied food wine.
