The red wine Ried Salzberg, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Wenzl-Kast has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Strong ruby garnet, dark core, purple reflections, broad rim brightening. Dark berry fruit with a hint of cassis, ripe plums, candied orange zest. Juicy, elegant, fine fruit sweetness, well-integrated tannins, some nougat and dried figs in the aftertaste, a full-bodied food companion.
