Fine, cool smoke on the still somewhat closed nose, a hint of gunpowder, black cherry, sloe, wild plum, bay leaf and also black pepper. Juicy on the palate, with sloe and some sour cherry. Powerful structure, with fine acidity and ripe, fine-grained tannins. Combines structure with elegance, neat with a slightly astringent edge. Still youthful.
