The red wine Pintas Douro DOC, vintage 2018 from the winery Wine & Soul has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz from the region Douro in Portugal.
Dark ruby red, a purple sheen, subtle brightening on the rim. Smoky, leafy savoury notes, dark berry fruit, juniper, tobacco, restrained fruit on the nose. Juicy, sweet cherries, earthy tannins, still quite underdeveloped, a touch of refined nougat, mineral on the finish, some patience required here, great length and strong ageing potential.
