The red wine Zlatan Plavac Grand select, vintage 2018 from the winery Plenković – Zlatan Otok has been rated in 2024 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Plavac Mali
Deep ruby, purple reflections, broad ochre rim. Dark berryish fruit with a light floral background, ripe plums, subtle vanilla and cassis, candied mandarin zest. Complex, juicy, finely spiced, substantial texture, vivid, still somewhat demanding tannins, chocolatey finish, spicy and very accessible, a versatile food wine for strongly spiced Balkan dishes.
