Jason Momoa's Travel Favorites

Experiences

Whether it’s Aquaman, Game of Thrones, and Fast & Furious or Harley-Davidson, Guinness, and climbing, actor Jason Momoa delivers blockbuster moments both on and off the screen.

Favorite travel destination
As Aquaman, it’s no surprise that Jason Momoa can’t stay away from the sea: “I literally fell head over heels in love with Newfoundland and Labrador while scouting locations for Braven. Middle Cove Beach is just fantastic; Red Cliff is also picturesque, though a bit of a perilous backdrop.”

Vacation joy
The towering actor, standing over six feet tall, is a true outdoorsman, even on vacation: “I love climbing, paddling, surfing, hiking—anything that gets my hands, feet, and body moving! Vacation isn’t about escaping for me; it’s a chance to truly enjoy life, with campfires, mountains, music, and people.”

Home away from home
Jason Momoa knows London like few others, including its culinary scene: “I love oysters at Bentley’s, ramen at Tonkotsu, breakfast at The Wolseley, and dinner at La Bodega Negra. The best pint of Guinness is at The Toucan, so I’m always there, and across the street, you'll find great pizza.” (Editor’s note: Pizza Pilgrims on Dean Street.)

Aloha, New Zealand!
“New Zealand, you're magical!” the actor recently posted on Instagram. Thanks to filming the Minecraft movie (in theaters April 2025) in New Zealand, he’s discovered a new favorite country. He immediately felt a connection with the people: “We look alike, like brothers and sisters. I see people on the street and think, ‘Oh, that’s my uncle, that’s my aunt…’—because of my Polynesian roots, I feel a deep bond with them.”

Adventurous spirit
Momoa has never hidden his passion for anything cool with a motor and two wheels: “In a car, I can get distracted by my phone or do other things. On a motorcycle, that’s not an option. You’re one with the road, and the tougher the road, the more fun the ride.” And his favorite? A Harley-Davidson, of course.
