The Ritz-Carlton has opened a newly built 50-storey hotel in the heart of Manhattan. Located on the corner of 28th and Broadway, this is luxury group's the second NYC property.

Launched 92 years after its sister hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Central Park, the Ritz-Carlton NoMad is a luxurious addition to New York’s hotel scene. Developed by Flag Luxury Group, the 219-room hotel soars 500 feet above New York’s streets, making it one of the tallest buildings in the neighbourhood of NoMad, short for "North of Madison Square Park".

The hotel’s 250 guest rooms include 19 suites, plus 16 one and two-bedroom penthouse residences. The guest rooms and public spaces feature "elegant floral expressions such as natural elements and textures that reflect the soft curvature of petals alongside sleek accents and lines, which echo New York City’s verticality and city grid".

The hotel's ground-floor Zaytina restaurant has 140 seats and is helmed by Michelin-starred chef José Andrés and will serve a mezze menu and creative cocktails inspired by Turkish, Greek, and Lebanese cuisines. A rooftop bar, Nubeluz, offers 270-degree views across Manhattan.

The hotel also features a 6,800-sq ft signature Ritz-Carlton Spa and Fitness Centre, with eight treatment rooms, and separate sauna and steam rooms. Guests can be pampered with products by luxury brand Augustinus Bader, including a facial inspired by the New York Flower District.

Donna McNamara, vice president and global brand leader for The Ritz-Carlton, describes the opening as a milestone moment for the Marriott Bonvoy brand. “With an exquisite design that blends the best of the brand and the destination, combined with the finest amenities, culinary offerings, and highly personalised service, The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad delivers an experience tailored to today’s luxury guest.”

The Bazaar by José Andrés, described as a "high-end avant-garde dining destination", will debut in late 2022.
