The latest hit on the Nitra gastronomic scene is the Épine restaurant, decorated in Nordic style with wooden furniture combined with white brick walls and a dominant bar. Markus and Martin Kovarskí are behind this concept. They built the kitchen on their own PINOCH - small dishes with strong, full flavors, something like tapas, but in their style. Of course, there is also a pretty decent weekly lunch special to choose from during the day, but gourmets will also find interesting dishes on the à la carte menu. The latest à la carte is called "Waiting for Godot" and it also includes crispy oyster mushrooms, carrots with Roman cumin, cream gervais and parmesan or trout fillet, beluga lentils, confit roasted peppers, yuzu caviar and crème fraîche.
