"Each vintage has its own characteristics - each variety its own special features." Under this motto, the members of the Kraft family have been producing wines at their family winery in the heart of Rust since 1749, which they see as a product of nature, not as the design of the cellar master. They give nature a free hand and do not use artificial irrigation, herbicides or artificial fertilizers, instead relying on intensive manual work - from pruning and dividing the grapes to hand-picking. Only their own grapes from their own vineyards are used in the cellar, they work in a purist manner and keep a low profile - there is no vacuum evaporator or reverse osmosis. The wines mature for up to three years exclusively in stainless steel tanks or in barrels made from Central European oak. Their love of variety allows them to bottle a wide repertoire every year. In some of the best vineyards with lake views on the hillside, such as Geyer, Mariental, Bandkräften and Vogelsang, traditional varieties such as Furmint, Blaufränkisch, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, as well as exotic varieties with a pioneering role, such as Malbec and Rosenmuskateller, mature into exceptional grapes with an honest character.
