The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Caparsa has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Chianti in Italy.
Clear, bright garnet red. Initially somewhat restrained on the nose, then opens up to red currants and wild strawberries, a slight hint of violets and fresh rosemary, absinthe in the background. Builds up in layers, with tightly interwoven tannins, full-bodied, shows good grip and backbone, lingering on the finish.
