Strong ruby, purple reflections, subtle ochre brightening on the rim. Sweet wood notes, hints of nougat and figs, blackberry confit, black cherries, some leather and spices. Substantial, elegant and freshly structured palate, red cherries, fine, ripe tannins, salty and lively on the finish with a touch of chocolate. Shows great length and certain ageing potential; starting to really open up now for the first time. (2023, drink/store +30).
