Reductive on the nose, smoky and yeasty. The palate radiates a sinewy freshness, the tannins have a gripping vigour and a well-judged hint of raspiness, the acidity is firm and appropriate, the wine has mineral depth and an extract for decades of bottle ageing. A rustic, somewhat rough wine, but with excellent certain ageing potential.
