Tasting Notes
Next to the two giants, the Coche-Dury appears somewhat more reserved in this flight. The nose reveals finely matured aromas of nut butter, pistachio, white nougat, popcorn, candied apricot and yellow fruit - a complex, multi-layered aroma with a charming hint of maturity. On the palate, however, it remains somewhat brittle, the mouthfeel less supple, the overall impression not entirely coherent. It is also more restrained in terms of length and depth. A good wine - no doubt - but sometimes the best is the enemy of the good.
