The white wine Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru Clos des Monts Luisants blanc, vintage 1989 from the winery Domaine Ponsot has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Aligoté from the region Bourgogne in France.
Golden in colour with a hint of oxidation, raisin, and baked apple notes initially, then with air reveals more and more peppery notes and limestone. The palate reveals a dense phenolic character, accompanied by late-emerging, but then firmly gripping acidity, the wine has a lot of substance, juiciness, and tension, it is quite quirky in its style, but without doubt has culinary value.
