The red wine Duca Enrico Sicilia DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Duca di Salaparuta has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nero d’Avola from the region Sicily in Italy.
Rich ruby colour with a fine garnet sheen. Complex, appealing nose with notes of cedar wood, followed by elderberry and blackberry, ripe plum and Mediterranean herbs. Juicy on the attack and on the palate, with surprisingly fresh fruit, opens with vivid, grippy tannins, crisp berry fruit, firm drive on the finish and a long finish.
