The white wine Castell Hohnart Silvaner trocken VDP.Erste Lage, vintage 2018 from the winery Fürstlich Castell’sche Domäne has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
There are aromas of herbs, wax, and subtle hints of yellow fruit. On the palate it is almost charming, not sweet, but impressive due to its creamy character and delicately perfumed flavours. It combines richness and grace like a baroque porcelain figurine.
