Strong, deep red with a mature rim; medium intensity bouquet, black fruit, cassis notes and roasted aromas, spicy; soft attack on the palate, subtle acidity, strong, somewhat clingy tannin, aromatic dark fruit, stewed plums, pepper; long, peppery, perhaps also somewhat green finish. Compact wine, begins to open up in the glass.
