JAHRGANG: 2023 REBSORTE: Merlot ANBAUGEBIET: Sopraceneri (Bassa Leventina und Riviera). WEINAUSBAU: Die Kelterung erfolgt nach traditioneller Methode mit einer Maischegärung von 12 - 14 Tagen bei 28 - 30 °C. Nach dem biologischen Säureabbau reift der Wein über 15 Monate in Barriques aus französischer Eiche. Dank des häufigen Umziehen der Barriques wurde der Sassi Grossi ohne weitere Schönung, Kaltstabilisierung und Filtrierung abgefüllt. ALKOHOLGEHALT: 13.2% Vol. FARBE: Tiefgründiges sattes Rubinrot. BOUQUET: Voll, vielschichtig und ausdrucksstark. Er präsentiert sich ausgewogen mit Noten von dunklen Früchten — Pflaume, Brombeere und Schwarze Johannisbeere — die harmonisch miteinander verschmelzen. Dazu kommen geröstete Anklänge, die an Bitterkakao und Tabakblatt erinnern, begleitet von feinen balsamischen Nuancen, die eine dezente Frische verleihen. GESCHMACK: Der Auftakt ist voll und reichhaltig. Fruchtig und körperreich zeichnet er sich durch Eleganz und klar definierte Struktur aus, mit hochwertigen und präsenten Tanninen. Eine angenehme Frische begleitet ein langes und anhaltendes Finale. SERVIERTEMPERATUR: 18 °C LAGERFÄHIGKEIT: Seinen vollen Charakter entwickelt der Sassi Grossi 2023 ab Sommer 2025; bei optimaler Lagerung wird er bis 2036 und darüber hinaus seinen vollen Ausdruck behalten. Wir empfehlen den Wein eine Stunde vor dem Geniessen zu entkorken.

Medium purple. Clear, elegant nose, wild berries, sour cherry, some plum, wood spice, some leather. Soft on the palate with ripe acidity and beautiful elegance, chalky, still incisive tannins. Lingers for a long time with dark berry and spice notes. Should still mature.
