Unser Chardonnay wächst in der Lage „Glassier“, wie beim Weissburgunder wachsen die Reben auf einen Kalk-Sand- und Porphyr Boden welcher sich aus Verwitterung der nahegelegenen Hänge und einer Überschwemmung des „Trudner Baches“ zusammensetzt. Im Hausanger finden die Trauben dieser Sorte sehr gute Voraussetzungen zu seiner vollen Entfaltung. Die Reife erreicht der Chardonnay gegen den 15. September. Die Trauben werden sofort abgepresst und nach einer nächtlichen Klärung in Barriques vergoren. Nach der Gärung werden die Barriques gereinigt und so für den Säureabbau vorbereitet. Eine Lagerung auf den Feinhefen findet wiederum in den Holzfässern statt und einmal alle zwei Wochen werden diese zur Verbesserung der Struktur und des Aromas aufgerührt. Nach insgesamt bis zu 12 Monaten im Holz wird der Chardonnay abgefüllt

Clear, dark straw yellow with a golden core. Delicate bouquet of ripe apricot, with a hint of roasted almonds and a touch of bergamot. Fresh and taut on the palate, slightly salty on the finish.
