The red wine Spätburgunder trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Johann August Sack has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Baden in Germany.
Transparent cherry red colour, aromas of cherries, cherry stone and almond pit, also notes of raspberry and wild strawberry, subtly smoky. In the mouth nice clear cherry fruit and also blueberry with a well integrated, vivid acidity. Compact and well-judged structure, sensitive use of wood, fine-grained tannin, emphasises the elegant aspects of Pinot Noir and the cool-climate conditions in the Tauber Valley.
