The white wine Südtirol Weißburgunder Riserva Passion DOC, vintage 2012 from the winery Kellerei Sankt Pauls has been rated in 2015 by Othmar Kiem with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Sparkling, rich straw yellow. Opens with slightly smoky notes, followed by aromas of hawthorn, then lots of fresh apple, with some white chocolate in the background. Round and supple on the palate, shows beautiful ripe fruit, also plenty of racy, well-integrated acidity, but still needs to really come together, good potential!
