The red wine Porphyr Lagrein Riserva Südtirol DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Cantina Terlano has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Dark, rich ruby with purple highlights. On the nose there's initially some fine chocolaty hints, alongside black bread, fennel seeds, ripe heart cherry and a touch of violets. The palate shows polished tannins and well-developed fruit, plus fine spice and woody notes. It all becomes a bit bold on the finish.
