The red wine Barolo DOCG Parafada, vintage 2012 from the winery Massolino Vigna Rionda has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Luminous ruby with a fine garnet edge. Somewhat reticent nose, opens tentatively, then shows notes of cherry and raspberry, with clove in the background. Blooms big on the palate, salty and substantial, fine cherry and plum, then opens with dense, finely meshed tannin, long finish.
