The red wine Le Volte dell'Ornellaia IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Ornellaia has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich ruby red with luminous core. The nose is lush with plum, young amarena cherry, some amaretto, and is very open and delicately scented. Distinctly delicate and gluggable on the palate, with very focused fresh fruit on the midpalate, and it has tightly woven tannins. It is elegant on the finish with good length.
