Deep ruby-garnet in colour with purple reflections, a subtle ochre touch and a wide rim brightness. On the nose sweet, ripe heart cherries and hints of dried figs are underlaid by fine nougat, tobacco and some menthol. A pleasant herbal savouriness also comes into play. Taut on the palate, with firm tannins and a chocolaty touch that leads to white pepper on the finish. Good complexity and length, with secure further ageing potential.
