Tasting Notes
Deep, dark ruby with purple reflections, brightening at the rim. The bouquet literally calls to the Old Barossa Valley, with the iron-rich Terra Rossa flavouring of cardamom, colourful peppercorns and curry herb, black berries, liquorice, mint, and a hint of fresh brioche. Powerful on the palate, it has juicy fruit nuances, blackberries and black cherries, tight, integrated tannins, fine acidity, and a touch of graphite on the finish. Very good length, but still closed on the finish. It cries out for further bottle age. (2025 to 2045).
