The red wine Galatrona IGT, vintage 2003 from the winery Petrolo has been rated in 2005 with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dense, dark ruby with violet; presents itself on the palate with lots of crisp fruit, dark cherries, elderberries, exuberant fullness; shows a lot of juice and power on the palate, initially lots of ripe berry fruit, then builds up continuously, is carried by dense and fine-grained tannin, enormous length, tobacco in the finish.
