The red wine Galatrona IGT, vintage 2008 from the winery Petrolo has been rated in 2011 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, rich ruby colour with purple shimmer. Very intense and clear nose, mountains of ripe berries, but also fine savoury notes that give the wine complexity. Multilayered on the palate, lots of rich fruit, unfolds with vivid, fine-grained tannins, builds up richly, salty on the finish.
