The red wine Bòggina C Sangiovese Vigna Bòggina Riserva Val D'Arono di Sopra DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Petrolo has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear, intense ruby with fine garnet rim. Clearly marked, intense nose, shows notes of blackberry, dark cherry and some plum, light graphite notes in the background. Grippy, savoury tannin on the palate, builds well, juicy and with good tension, crisp cherry and blackberry fruit, firm drive on the finish.
