The red wine Bòggina A Valdarno di Sopra DOC, vintage 2023 from the winery Petrolo has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear ruby red colour with a light rim. Intriguing nose, lots of marzipan, cherries and raspberries, backed by black pepper. Dynamic on the palate, comes in many layers, animating interplay of acidity and tannins, long, savoury finish, already drinking well, but also has great ageing potential.
