The red wine Barbagalli Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2020 from the winery Pietradolce has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nerello Mascalese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Clear, bright ruby red colour with purple hues. Elegant nose, lots of rose hips and pomegranate and some dried tomato, with Mediterranean herbs and gunflint in the background. On the palate elegant and delicate, mouthwatering, beautiful interplay of acidity and tannins, long, salty finish.
