The red wine Barbagalli Etna Rosso DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Pietradolce has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nerello Mascalese from the region Sicily in Italy.
Powerful, bright ruby with a fine garnet shimmer. Finely drawn nose with notes of raspberry, rosehip and pomegranate, some smoke in the background. Juicy and extremely appealing on the palate, well-defined fruit, then opens up with dense tannins in many layers, firm drive on the finish, very good drinking flow.
