The sekt Cuvée Katharina Brut Nature, vintage 2017 from the winery Sekthaus Raumland has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
A fine, pinot berry aroma, still plenty of yeast, still quite young on the nose. On the palate, the wine has a balanced structure, with acidity and mousse dominating, as befits a Brut Nature. But the wine has enough fruit and substance to avoid appearing barren or harsh. The aftertaste will gain in complexity over the coming months.
