Tasting Notes
Medium ruby garnet, good depth of color, broad rim brightening, smoky nose, blackberries and sloes, dark berries, fine wood note, pleasant vegetal Merlot note, sweet and juicy on the palate, velvety, stylistically close to the 1997, with somewhat better polished tannins, seems rather wide-meshed on the finish, medium length, decent, but somewhat thinner. (120,000 bottles)
