The red wine Luce IGT, vintage 2000 from the winery Tenuta Luce has been rated in 2004 with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Strong ruby garnet, good depth of colour, delicate edge brightening, restrained on the nose, still some primary fruit, delicate animal notes, some dried fruit, rather medium-bodied on the palate, appears somewhat alcoholic, not yet harmonized ready to drink, still needs bottle rest, rather dry on the finish, remains tannic and brittle. Nevertheless, a remarkable achievement, considering the difficult vintage. (130,000 bottles)
