Der MAGO: der im Tessin hergestellte "IL MAGO" wird aus sorgfältig ausgewählten Merlot-Trauben gekeltert. Alkoholische Gärung in Edelstahl bei kontrollierter Temperatur und Reifung in neuen 225-Liter-Barriques aus französischer Eiche. Ein grosser Wein von uns, der seit gut fünf Jahren nicht mehr hergestellt wurde. Da wir den Weinberg in Rancate nicht mehr bewirtschaften konnten, fehlte uns das Rohmaterial für die Produktion. Ein Merlot an dem die Erinnerung, Ausdruck von fantastischer Eleganz und Finesse ist, der uns 15 Jahre lang grosse Freude bereitet und in dem sich viele Merlot-Liebhaber unseres Landes verliebt haben. Hervorragend zu gebratenen und gegrillten Hauptgerichten aus weißem und rotem Fleisch oder zu Wild.

Fruity bouquet with notes of confit dark and red berries and black cherry. Also notes of dried plum and hints of cocoa, some pipe tobacco and graphite. Flattering richness on the palate, ripe acidity and flavours of dark dried berries. Feintly discernible tannin, long finish on spicy notes.
