The sekt »Noir« Cuvée Rot-Sekt brut, vintage 2016 from the winery Wein- und Sektgut Hummel has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Pinot Noir, Merlot from the region Baden in Germany.
The colour is like a traditional Pinot Noir. Blackberry, elderberry, redcurrant and a hint of honey on the nose. Juicy on the palate, loosely knit, rather restrained mousse, mellow tannins in carefully selected quantity, ripe acidity, no noticeable sugar. Independent, vinous red sparkling wine.
