The rosé Rosé Holz, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Baumann has been rated in 2023 by Peter Moser, Ulrich Sauter, Otmar Kiem, Simon Staffler, Benjamin Vombach, Dominik Herzog with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Spätburgunder from the region Franconia in Germany.
A strong orange tone; an almost light brick-red colour. Restrained on the nose, but with hints of complex spiciness: star anise, herbs, peppermint, also some rhubarb. A rounded smoothness on the palate that shows the influence of the wooden barrel. A rosé with a fine roundness and well-integrated, chiseled acidity. Still compact on the finish, exciting mineral undertones. Should continue to age very well.
