The white wine Bernkasteler Riesling trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Dr. Loosen has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
A fine first ripeness in the fragrance, berryish and with a hint of lime blossom honey, very typical for Bernkastel. On the palate completely melted and round, with beautiful interplay and ripe-spiciness, slightly caramelised finish flavours. A local wine practically at the level of the vineyard, which demands an appropriate dish: glazed sweetbreads, foie gras.
