The red wine »Altor«, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Emil Bauer und Söhne has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Interestingly darker and younger in colour than the 2018. High ripeness, but also chocolate, dried plums and wood smoke on the nose. Wood smoke and suede are also evident on the palate, taming the aromatically very ripe fruit. Dense, vivid tannin structure, a southern wine.
