The red wine »Amator«, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Emil Bauer und Söhne has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
The fragrance is reminiscent of a Black Forest gateau: with aromas of chocolate and Amarena cherry. There are also woody aromas: cinnamon, gingerbread. The palate opens smoothly with a slight sweetness, the tannin is mellow and ripe and remains on the defensive against the juiciness of the wine. An elegant, fine structure.
