The red wine G, vintage 2012 from the winery Weingut Gesellmann has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Dark garnet, purple reflections, delicate ochre rim. An incredibly seductive nose, with subtle floral aromas, dark berries, raspberries, candied violets, blackberries, cherries and nuances of oak savouriness. Complex, juicy and fruity, with ripe tannins, a fine acidic structure, a hint of nougat, freshly structured and a very long, lingering, salty finish. A terrific red wine year, now perfectly mature for drinking, with definite further ageing potential, a classic. (2025, drink, keep +30)
